Peaches Geldof laid to rest

Peaches Geldof, daughter Sir Bob Geldof and the late, Paula Yates, has been laid to rest at a funeral on Easter Monday.

Several celebrities - including Kate Moss, Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York, Rolling Stone's Bill Wyman, and English TV presenter Nick Grimshaw - attended the tragic service at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in Kent, England.

It was the same countryside church her mother Paula Yates was laid to rest, and where 25-year-old Peaches married her husband Thomas Cohen.

A hearse carrying Peaches coffin arrived just before 1pm, the UK's Daily Mail reported.

The coffin was painted sky blue, with clouds and flowers along the side, with a heartbreaking painting of Peaches, Tom and their two sons Astala, 11 months and Phaedra, two, painted on the back.

The order of service had a photograph of Peaches taken by photographer Brian Aris on her wedding day in September 2012.

Her father, Live Aid founder Bob Geldof, was expected to pay tribute to his daughter at the private service.

He issued a statement the day of her passing, saying: "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?"

He continued: "We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken."

Peaches was found dead in her home on April 7.

While the initial autopsy was inconclusive, toxicologists are expected to release a report to determine her cause of death in the next week or two.

Peaches had previously admitted how she struggled to cope with the death of her mother Paula Yates, who overdosed from heroin in 2000 at the age of 41.

Her husband Thomas has also released a statement, saying, "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two songs Astala and Phaedra, and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day. We shall love her forever."
