The British monarch's grandson Peter Phillips - the son of the Queen's daughter, Anne, Princess Royal and Mark Phillips - and his wife Autumn welcomed their first child, a girl, at a hospital in Gloucestershire, south west England on Wednesday UK time.

The birth was announced on overnight and a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said the Queen and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh are overjoyed at the addition to the family.
