Prince Charles rated more stylish than Prince William!

It seems Prince Charles has out-shined Prince William in the style department!

The Duke of Cambridge, 30, was beat by his father, 64-year-old Prince Charles, in GQ magazine's list of Best Dressed Men in Britain this year.

Prince Charles was ranked the eighth best dressed Brit, while his son came in at 37.

Prince Charles was praised by British Fashion Council head Natalie Massenet as 'on trend'.

She told GQ of the royal:

"This is a man who knows what he likes, knows how to wear it, and sticks with it whatever the prevailing fashions."

Although his royal wife the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is hailed as a fashion icon, Prince William was ranked 29 spots below his father.

Still, GQ called the soon-to-be father an emblem of 'true British style'.

The royal's fashion tastes often include suits by Spencer Hart and Richard James.

Taking the number one spot was this year Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens.

Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson came in seventh while Les Miserables Eddie Redmayne' ranked tenth.
