Prince George lands the cover of Vanity Fair

Vanity Fair magazine has featured Prince George - along with his parents The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - on the cover of its August 2014 issue to mark the cherubic youngster's first birthday.

The cover picture, from their recent trip to Taronga Zoo in Australia, features Prince George in the arms of his mother, Duchess Catherine, while his father, Prince William, appears to dote on him.

Kate also reportedly expressed relief that her son had behaved well during his first few public appearances as they had struggled to get him into a routine, "…For the first few months the prince cried loudly and frequently, and he was not sleeping through the night".

George accompanied his parents on their royal tour to Australia and New Zealand and a senior aide tells the magazine, the prince "didn't really suffer from jet lag -- he settled down very quickly".
