Wills, Kate and George touch down in Wellington!

After landing in New Zealand just after midday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were whisked away to Government House, where they will stay for the duration of their of visit, for their official welcoming ceremony.

Following in her late Mother-in-law's footsteps, Kate was given a traditional Maori nose-rub greeting, just like Diana back in 1983.

William and Kate landed in New Zealand after a brief stopover in Sydney, and were greeted by New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key, along with his wife, Bronagh, a representative from the Governor-General's office and Mayor Celia Wade-Brown.

Wills, Kate & George arrived at Sydney Airport just before 6am this morning, where they were met by a fleet of waiting cars and a heavily armed police and security presence.

The Royals were quickly whisked to the private jet base where they boarded a Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft for their flight to Wellington.

Prince George was safely in his mother’s arms as she carried him up the stairs and onto the plane.

The couple's entourage, including personal assistants, George's nanny and Kate’s hairdresser followed the royal couple and baby onto the private plane.

Kate, changed into a red Catherine Walker dress and coat, similar to the one she wore when she departed Canada in 2011. She accessorised with a silver fern broach.

Earlier that morning when she made her way through Sydney airport, she was wearing the same monochrome jersey MaxMara print dress that she wore when she first stepped out with her baby bump when pregnant with Prince George back in February 2013.

The family are due to spend two days recovering from their jet lag before resuming official engagements on Wednesday.
