Duchess Kate's baby is due in July

A statement released by the Palace revealed when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be expecting their first child together, explaining the pair are 'delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in July'.

The statement also addressed Middleton's severe morning sickness, explaining:

"The Duchess's condition continues to improve since her stay in hospital last month."

A Palace insider confirmed to People magazine that the Duchess, 31, is not expecting twins as rumours suggested.

The source also said that she and Prince William, 30, will not be revealing the sex of their child.

Another insider told Us Weekly of the royal couple: "This is the announcement they were hoping to make all along.

The Duke and Duchess are delighted that they can finally make the official announcement today."

Another insider told the magazine of the baby's de date: "We are looking at the very early days of July."
