This week in New Idea, typical Aussie bloke, Craig Law, 47, tells how he dreamt of walking his two daughters down the aisle, renovating the family home and going camping - but the former tradie's world spiralled to rock bottom seven years ago when he felt a lump under his nipple after he was injured playing Oztag.

"As a man, you find it hard to believe," said Craig.

After a gruelling course of chemotherapy, Craig was left weak and at risk of suffering heart failure, but was inspired to push on for the sake of his two girls.

"It was just so bad, so cruel, but I'd look at my daughters and know I had to get through it."

Finally receiving the all-clear this year after discovering more lumps in late 2012, Craig says any insecurities of discussing his breast cancer battle openly have faded away.

"After all this I'm not scared to talk about it anymore - life is way more important."
