Irwin family feud escalates

The bitter war between Terri Irwin and her late husband Steve’s family has escalated into a public spat – with Bindi hit the hardest by the painful fallout.

The once-strong Irwin family is now in tatters after reports have emerged that Bindi’s uncle Frank, aunty Joy, and cousins James and Rebecca have cut all ties with the family and the zoo.

These reports follow the tragic estrangement of Steve’s dad, Bob, from his grandkids.

‘That little girl is heartbroken and doesn’t know what to do,’ a friend says of Bindi’s anguish over the disintegrating connection to her late father’s family.

But while the US Dancing With The Stars winner has tried to remain a peacekeeper, she knows she can’t turn her back on her own mother, Terri, 51, which has left her feeling torn.

‘It’s not easy for her,’ says a friend.

‘She is very close to her mum, but as she gets older, she has questions, and she wants to honour her late father’s memory bybeingmoreinvolvedwithhis family here in Australia.’
