Sharon Osbourne takes time off work amid marriage breakdown rumours

Sharon Osbourne was absent from her talk show on Monday (09.05.16) amidst claims she has split from Ozzy Osbourne.

The 63-year-old television personality decided to take some time off from co-presenting chat show The Talk amidst claims she has split from the Black Sabbath rocker after 34 years of marriage over an alleged affair he has had with celebrity hairstylist Michelle Pugh.

Speaking on the show, co-host Julie Chen said: 'As we get started, Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines of her and Ozzy, rumours and speculations that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage.

'Sharon understandably took today off and we are sending all of our love to her and to her family. And we ask that you do the same.'

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that Sharon went 'ballistic' when she found 'proof' Ozzy, 67, was allegedly cheating on him.

A source said: 'Sharon went ballistic with Ozzy and accused him of having the affair. She said she had suspected something had been going on for some time and now had proof.'

'People are wondering whether Sharon went through Ozzy's phone before accusing him. She has done that before but in the past she was checking if he'd been using drugs.

'Ozzy was extremely sheepish and admitted being close to Michelle. It is likely Sharon has discovered calls and possibly meetings.

'He is not speaking to Sharon and she has not let him back into the house. Ozzy went straight to the Beverly Hills hotel which is very near their home. He is well known there and has been there before when they've had rows.

'Their marriage is like Tom and Jerry and very up and down. But it could be over for good this time.'

Ozzy and Sharon have been married since 1982 and have daughters 31-year-old Kelly, Aimee, 32 and son Jack, 30, together.
