'I feel humiliated and embarrassed,’ The Farmer Wants A Wife contestant Lorraine tells New Idea of her unceremonious ousting from the reality dating show. ‘All I wanted was to find love, and my feelings were not considered when axing me.’
Farmer Lance and viewers alike were shocked and saddened when 50-year-old Lorraine failed to show up to the Queenslander’s farm homestay after the pair displayed undeniable chemistry from the get-go.
But while FWAW host Sam McClymont informed a clearly dejected Lance, 52, that his Tasmanian lady love’s no-show came down to a change of heart and ‘personal issues’, an emotional Lorraine is now ready to break her silence.

Though it has since been reported that a criminal conviction for drink-driving was the reason Lorraine was axed from the show, she insists that’s not the case, as she was upfront about her record from the outset.
‘I told them about my drink- driving conviction from 10 years ago,’ Lorraine explains.
But it was a string of minor incidents during filming that she claims determined her harsh treatment by the producers and led to her being booted.
'It started with me losing my handbag at the service station when the coach stopped,’ she explains.
Lorraine believes she made her next mistake when filming had wrapped on the speed dates and the women were told that they could buy a drink and relax.
‘The night before, we all got a $25 meal allowance, but I was too nervous to eat, so I just bought a pack of chips and a couple of cans of Jack Daniels,’ the hospitality worker tells us.
A week later, Lorraine was suddenly dropped from the show.
‘They said it was because of my driving offence, but I didn’t believe them,’ Lorraine says.
‘They say it’s a reality show about finding love, but Lance wasn’t even allowed to pick who he wanted.’
