Every three hours, a woman is hospitalised following a brutal attack by a current or former partner. Domestic violence is the number one cause of homelessness for women and their children.

That’s why, in the week that Australia takes a stand against this devastating crime, New Idea is asking you to help us make a big difference.

New Idea is launching ‘We Care Packs’ – a care package filled with everyday essentials such as toiletries and phone credit, which will offer both practical and emotional support to women who are fleeing a violent home, such as Sarah (as pictured above).

Aussie mum Sarah was bashed and blinded in one eye by her partner in front of their son. Sarah is backing our We Care Packs campaign to support women fleeing family violence.
