Sasha AND Michael Drop The L Word On The Bachelorette

Things are getting serious as Sam meets the families and is hit with the inevitable grilling. Such as, 'How do you cope juggling four guys?' Boom, a nice undercurrent of slut shaming from Michael's mum!

Of course, we were all hoping for another Warwick moment. Remember him? He was part of Heather's hometown crew on The Bachelor who went all Wolf Creek on bloke Sam's ass.

Sadly, nothing like that in Brisbane, but Michael's dad hovered on the borders of creepy. He was staring so much, it looked like he was actually trying to hypnotise her!

Other than that, it was a fairly easy ride for Sam and Michael was getting plenty of pash action... And then he went and ruined it all by doing something stupid like writing 'I love you' on his hand.

Too much, Mickey boy, too much...

Next up, Alex whose family are in England so there was no worries for Sam about getting a rough ride from the rellies. Just a quiet evening with Alex...

Surprise! Alex's sister Helen is flying in from New Zealand.

FYI, Alex, women HATE that sort of surprise.

She surprised them both in the kitchen. How did she get in? Did she have a key? No time to worry about that now, because she's straight into grilling mode.

Would you move overseas? Are you worried about the age difference? Come on, Helen, give Sam some tricky ones!

'If he's not the one, how are you intending to let him down?' Ooo, good one.

Sam fended it off well, with some 'I'm just enjoying the date' and 'I'll see how it goes' vagueness, but Helen knew the score: she's just not that into my brother.

Richie lives in a dam? Is he a beaver? Oh, that's just an arty meeting place to let us know we're going on a tour of Perth.

You've gotta love Richie and his nerves as 'The Sam Factor' left him with butterflies, clammy hands and a mushy brain.

'I've got a massive Richie crush,' Sam said at one point. 'The feeling's mutual,' Richie replied. Er, does that mean you've got a crush on yourself?

Sam was also running through the Things Not to Say on a Date handbook. 'I'll drink anything!' Sam offered after five minutes. Hmm, that's exactly what a mother wants to hear from her son's four-timing girlfriend.

Now, there was a hardcore welcoming committee at Richie's. Mum, sister and four mates. Richie's mum went fairly gentle on Sam.

Do you come from a close family? How would you feel about moving away from them? In other words, ARE YOU GOING TO STEAL MY BOY AWAY FROM ME!?

Then one of his mates chimed in: 'What's your connection with Richie? How do you relate to him?' And the award for the most stupid question on The Bachelorette goes to... that guy.

At the end of the night his mum was genuinely taken with Sam, but the kiss test never lies. A bit more of a peck than she gave Alex, but Sam definitely pulled out.

On to the Sash-Man in Bowral.

This bloke is right up there, clear favourite. He's just got to keep things steady and not... get his mate with a keyboard to badly serenade Sam. Nooooo! What were you thinking?

Luckily Sam was able to put the experience behind her and Sash got back on track with a well placed 'I'm falling in love with you'. Gold.

The folks were putty in her hands, of course. They could tell she likes him, and he likes her. Mum threw an 'I want grandkids' hand grenade to keep Sam on her toes, but they loved her.

Kiss test time! Wow, this is the real deal. Big old pash, holding hands and did we see Sam's foot rise off the floor?

Off to the Rose Ceremony and the results from our patented Bachelorette Kiss Test machine suggest that Alex and Richie will be in the bottom two, with Alex getting kicked into touch.

Spot on.

So, bye bye Alex and your smooth English charm, Michael, Sasha and Richie are in the top three.

Crank up the B.K.T. machine - it's gonna be a steamy finals run in!
