Princess Charlotte meets The Queen

Prince William and Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge introduced their new addition to her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II for the first time on May 5.

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was introduced to the 89-year-old monarch who was seen arriving at Kensington Palace at 2:45 p.m. local time in London on May 5 and stayed for around half an hour.

The baby, who was born on May 2, is the Queen's fifth great-grandchild and also shares her name.

Earlier that day, Wills and Kate officially registration her birth in the United Kingdom.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have formally registered the birth of Princess Charlotte," the announced via The Kensington Palace Twitter account.

"The Duke of Cambridge signed the birth register at Kensington Palace this afternoon witnessed by a Registrar from Westminster Register Office."

The certificate, which has been made available to the public, gives details of the newest Royal, including her full name, birth date, place of birth, and parents' details - including their occupations which are listed as the Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom.

The young family are now expected to journey to Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they will spend the next month while William is on paternity leave.
