Former Home and Away star Tessa James has posted a heartwarming photo to mark the end of her chemotherapy treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

The 23-year-old was joined by her family and her husband, NRL star Nate Myles, and the whole group dressed up to mark the occasion, with a sign reading 'Done and Dusted' on the wall behind them.

Wearing a Wonder Woman costume and a gold crown, Tessa captioned the touching photo: "often fear is the same emotion as excitement, it means you are breaking new ground" #newbeginnings. #2015".

Proud husband Nate also posted a snap of his wife, writing: "Tough times create Tough People!! Well done little lady @tessacharis #toughorstubbornyouchoose".

Tessa revealed that she had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in September, releasing a statement which read:

Former Home and Away actor, Tessa James today announced she has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She has returned home to the Gold Coast to be with her husband, Gold Coast Titans Co-captain, Nate Myles.

Tessa will be undergoing chemotherapy over the next few months. Tessa and Nate would like to thank all for their well wishes and would ask for privacy during this very difficult time.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2012, had been splitting their time between Australia and the US, where Tessa was hoping to pursue a career in acting but have since returned to the Gold Coast while she undergoes treatment.

Tessa has received an outpouring of support since the news first broke and took to Instagram back in September to thank everyone for their 'overwhelming' support.

"Thank you for all your love, support and prayers during this time. It has simply been overwhelming. I can't thank you enough. All my love."
