His wife, Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge is widely revered for her long luscious locks, however during a recent engagement, Prince William may have accidentally revealed his true feelings about her royal mane.

During a private visit to Centrepoint's health and wellbeing centre in Soho, London, which mentors young homeless people and provides career advice as they rebuild their lives.

As the 32-year-old Prince chatted to a trainee hairdresser named Angel, he suggested that she should try attempt to style Kate's 'nightmare hair' - however we're not sure her full-time stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker would agree!

Speaking to Us Weekly, the 20-year-old trainee says she quickly realised that he wasn't joking either!

"[Prince William] was asking us all about Centrepoint—how we were doing with our courses and all that sort of stuff. Then suddenly he asked whether I could help out with Kate's hair, because it's such a nightmare," she said.

"I didn't think he was serious at first—I couldn't believe it."

However she did add that he attempted to explain himself, describing her hair as being "so long and thick, it's a bit of an issue."

The aspiring hairdresser admitted she would love to get her hands on Kate's lustrous locks, "It would be amazing to do Kate's hair, because it's so flawless," she said.

"To me, her hair always looks perfect, like no effort goes into it at all—but it obviously must take time to make it look so good. I think any girl would love to do Kate's hair though," Angel added.

William, who has been a patron of the charity since 2005, has followed their work closely and has toured a number of the facilities and centres.

"The Duke of Cambridge’s visit provided a huge boost for all the young people he met ahead of Christmas, which for them can be a difficult and emotional time," said Seyi Obakin, Centrepoint’s chief executive.

"Fortunately for many vulnerable young people staying with us in London, Sunderland and Bradford, while they won’t have their families around them, they will have Centrepoint."
