A new month is here, which means new product launches are on the horizon.
Yahoo! Style has the latest on the new beauty releases dropping this month, and they are not to be missed.
For those who are looking to update their make-up bag, keep your eyes peeled for Estée Lauder, Laura Mercier and Ted Baker’s upcoming releases.
Estée Lauder will release their new Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturising Makeup SPF45 on February 17th, while Laura Mercier have just launched the Pure Canvas Primer collection as of February 1st.
The Estée Lauder must-haves promise to be deeply nourishing as it has probiotic technology rich with chia seed extract, omega-3 fatty acids and IonCharged water.
Plus, it has SPF 45 to prevent the signs of ageing and protect the epidermis.
For those who are looking for more beauty buys to add to their base, Ted Baker has everything you will need.
The high street label is known for its fashion staples and long lasting accessories, but its beauty range is equally as impressive.
While some may want a bold lip liner, or colourful lipstick, others may be after a bronzer for a golden glow.
The popular haircare brand Herbal Essences has heard our cries for more beauty must haves, as they will be launching a repairing oil this month to nourish dry and lack-lustre locks.
We have tried and tested the new releases, taking into consideration how well they perform and the price point.
The best beauty launches this month
Pure Canvas Primer | £32 from Laura Mercier | Release date: 17th February
“I’m a Laura Mercier fanatic and swear by their lightweight Tinted Moisturisers, so I was excited by the news they have new releases. All I can say is this range does not disappoint.
“Laura Mercier’s new range provides a protective barrier over the skin, and can be worn on its own for a natural look, or under make-up. Plus they have all been formulated to address specific skin concerns, and with no silicones.
“The Illuminating Pure Canvas Primer is my favourite, although some may prefer their blurring or hydrating primer. The illuminating primer is lightweight, non-greasy, and gives your skin a natural looking glow without looking pearly or iridescent. It’s a huge yes from me.”
ghd Helios Professional Hair Dryer | £159 from ghd | Release date: 17th February
“GHD's latest innovation is well worth the, rather steep, price tag.
“It's incredibly powerful and dries hair in minutes, yet leaves hair smooth, frizz-free and full of volume. Super sleek, it boasts copper accents and a lightweight design making it easy to handle.
“You can use the contoured nozzle to create a salon-fresh look and play around with the adjustable speed and temperature controls to find your perfect setting.”
Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturising Makeup SPF45 | £36 Estée Lauder
“Although it wasn’t quite my colour match, as I tend to wear darker colours due to the way foundations tend to oxidise and change colour on your face, I really liked it.
“I have really oily skin so I was a bit worried that it would make me look oily throughout the day, but it didn’t. I prefer full coverage, and with this foundation you certainly get that as you don’t need to use much.
“The foundation blends well with my other make-up, and is very lightweight.”
Another reviewer wrote: “The Hydra Rescue is great! It gives a lovely glow, goes on really smoothly and isn't at all patchy on my dry skin. I would say the coverage isn't brilliant so may not be ideal if you suffer from significant blemishes.”
Get Lippy Satin Lipstick | £22 from Ted Baker
“This isn’t your usual lipstick. For starters, to open it you have the push the top in order for the lippy to pop out the bottom. Very 007 - and I’m very here for it.
“I tried the satin lipstick in the shade ‘Spicey’, which was a perfect mauve lip with pinky- purply tones. A subtle step down from striking red, but still a statement. It also has a slight glossy finish, which gave a nice plumping effect and kept my lips hydrated.”
Bronzer Trio | £29 from Ted Baker
“The Ted Baker Bronzer Trio has well and truly streamlined my make-up collection – meaning I no longer have to carry around separate palettes. I also can't get over the gorgeous packaging design, so chic!
“The highlighter and light bronzer worked well on my pale skin tone and the shimmer added a subtle luminous glow to my skin, which was toned down enough for daytime. Although the darker bronzer was a little too dark for me, I'll definitely use it on holidays.
“Thanks to the oil content in this collection (coconut and pomegranate), it sat well on my very dry skin rather than looking cakey – a definite plus.”
Self Sharpening Lip Liner | £15 from Ted Baker
“To me a lip pencil is one of my top three beauty essentials, as it can be paired with a lipstick or worn on its own, it stops your lipstick from slipping, accentuates your lip shape and can double up as an eyeliner too - depending on the shade.
“For those who are looking for a lip liner with extra precision, a bold colour, and practicality, this Ted Baker buy in shade “Passion” is for you. The twist top means you will never have to sharpen the pencil, while the formula is long lasting and lasts for hours on end.”
Hair Oil Blend Argan Oil and Aloe Repair | £5.99 from Boots
“I have long felt that my hair cannot be tamed by any product, whatever I put on it always makes it too frizzy or too greasy.
“I really like this hair spray, it instantly makes my hair much more controlled, but is very light so doesn't go greasy, and instead leaves a nice shine.
“It's a very practical purchase, as no matter how much I style my hair it normally goes frizzy after exposure to the smallest amount of humidity. However, this is compact enough for me to keep in my bag so I can use it as and when needed.”
