Netflix have dropped the first look trailer for their new true crime documentary Who Killed Jill Dando?.
The three-part series, which arrives on the streaming service on September 26, looks into the murder of award-winning BBC journalist Jill Dando, who was shot dead on the doorstop of her London home, aged 37, on April 26, 1999.
The teaser trailer introduces viewers to Dando, who is likened to a "TV Diana", with several archive clips showing the broadcaster at the height of her career.
"Jill was at the top of her game," says one commentator, with another adding: "She was the nation's sweethearts".
As the montage and music builds to a climax, Dando's fate is shared.
"The golden girl of British television murdered on her doorstep in broad daylight," says the voiceover, summarising the famous crime that is the focus of the docuseries.
Archive footage from the crime scene then plays, with police presence, cars and cordons seen.
Viewers see snippets of family, friends, journalists, investigators and lawyers interviewed in the trailer, each giving their theory on what happened to Dando.
The series hopes to shed more light on what they describe is "one of the biggest homicide investigations in British history" and help answer the as-yet unanswered question: Who Killed Jill Dando?
