Netflix Top 10: ‘The Perfect Couple’ Debuts at No. 1 With 20.3 Million Views

“The Perfect Couple” debuted as the most-watched Netflix series of the Sept. 2-8 viewing window, hitting 20.3 million views in its first four days of streaming. The most-watched title across the entire platform, however, was on the movies chart: thriller pic “Rebel Ridge” debuted with 31.2 million views in just three days.

At No. 2 on the TV chart was last week’s top title, “Worst Ex Ever,” which hit 7.2 million views in its first full week of availability, down from 8.4 million the week before. The Jeff Goldblum-led comedy series “Kaos” was No. 3 with 5.9 million views.

In its fourth week on the chart, “Emily in Paris” was the fourth most-watched series with 3.8 million views. It was followed by Season 1 of “Prison Break,” the long-concluded Fox show that recently debuted on Netflix and his 3.4 million views during this viewing window.

Two unscripted debuts took the next two positions: “Selling Sunset” Season 8 with 3 million views, then “Outlast” Season 2 with 2.2 million views — which tied the fourth week of “American Murder: Laci Peterson” at No. 8. “Mermaid Magic” had its second week on the chart with 1.5 million views, while Season 4 of “The Umbrella Academy” trailed in 10th with 1.4 million views in its fifth week on the chart.

See Netflix’s Top 10 lists for the week of Sept. 2-8 below. The lists begin with English-language series and are followed by non-English-language TV shows, English-language movies, and then non-English-language movies.
