NBA Game 7 pick: Raptors vs. Celtics

Game 7’s are some of the most exciting contests in sports, and we are blessed with one Friday night.

It’s the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics squaring off in the Eastern Conference semifinals for the right to face the Miami Heat in the East finals.

The Raptors are the defending champions, have experience in series finales and boast the rugged tenacity and grit of Kyle Lowry.

The Celtics are loaded with young talent and are primed to be East contenders for years to come, but it may be too much to ask Jaylen Brown, 23, and Jayson Tatum, 22, to rise to legend status in such a unique, pressure-filled environment.

If Toronto coach Nick Nurse goes small for longer stretches with Pascal Siakam at the five — which he did late in a remarkable Game 6 — that should give the Raptors the edge when things get tight.

With Lowry, some slight strategic adjustments and an experience advantage in pressure situations, the Raptors (+125 on the moneyline at BetMGM) may be tough to beat.

The pick: Raptors +3
