Myer slashes up to 50% off this weekend for Aussie shoppers

Father’s Day is right around the corner, and if you didn’t manage to find the right gift during the recent Afterpay Day sales, you may have more luck this weekend.

Myer is having its Super Weekend sale starting this Friday, with up to 50 percent off selected cookware, barware and knives, and up to 30 percent off men’s shoes and shirts.

The massive markdowns include top brands like Global, which has a six-piece knife set with a bamboo knife block that’s been reduced to $449 from $899.

If he’s been getting busy in the kitchen during lockdown, a new cookware set will spice things up with pots and pans by Jaimie Oliver for Tefal, Greenpan, Tramontina, Essteele and The Cook’s Collective all on sale.

This cast iron saute pan for the perfect scotch fillet or bacon and eggs is down to $90 from $150, while if you’re looking for a new set, this four-piece pot and pan collection from Greenpan has been reduced to $390 from $650.

Barware is also included in the sale with $200 wiped off the price of this Waterford Marquis brandy decanter, this Vue cocktail shaker and ice ball set reduced to $60 and this basketball shot glass drinking game down to $32.

Dinner sets, cutlery sets and glassware are also up to 50 percent off which is perfect if your current set has been coming up short with all the additional dining in we’ve been doing during lockdown.

Outside of the kitchen, suitcases by Delsey and Antler will be half price this weekend, as will a range of Gaiam exercise equipment and bedlinen, quilt covers, towels and pillows.


Men’s shoes, underwear, accessories and shirts are also being discounted by up to 40 percent with the biggest discounts being in Blaq, Kenji and Maddox & Reserve footwear.

Myer’s Super Weekend sale kicks off online and in store (where lockdown restrictions allow) on Friday, with offers lasting until Sunday 29 August.

Other sales around on this week

The Iconic has a Big Brands sale on at the moment with up to 25 percent off labels including Topman, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Champion and Gant until August 30.

Lots of men’s labels are included in the discounted stock which will be perfect for Father’s Day, however it isn’t a menswear only sale and there are also some women’s brands included.

Also live until August 30 is Kogan’s Warehouse Clearance sale which includes up to 70 percent off selected TVs, appliances and furniture.

Smart watches, headphones, robot vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers are among the discounted items.

For something a little more cosy, UGG Express is having a Father’s Day sale with discounts on a select range of slippers and shoes.

One of the styles included in the sale are these backless slippers which are down to $52 from $98 with the code FATHER2021, while these lace up boots have been reduced to $135 from $265.
