We’ve all been there - that almost slow-motion moment where you bump your glass of red wine off the coffee table and watch in abject horror as it spills across your plush, definitely light, carpet.

Thus begins the mad scramble for paper towels, carpet cleaner and a scrubbing brush to try and save the rug before it’s too late.

But now a mum has revealed how a simple The Body Shop project could see those days a thing of the past.

Taking to a Facebook group inspired by cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch, a mum shared a tip with the group’s almost 78k followers that involved little to no effort.

And it’s all down to store's gentle Camomile Cleansing Butter, which is available for just $25.

“Removes wine. Removes makeup. I'm sold!" she wrote after explaining it had taken just minutes to clean the stain.

Another woman agreed the product was incredible, sharing astonishing before-and-after images of how it also got rid of bronzer stains from her carpet.

“Camomile cream from The Body Shop works a treat believe it or not,” she wrote.

This is not the first time a clever trick has come to light through social media.

Earlier this week another mum's revealed a simple way to clean rice from burnt pan with 'zero scrubbing'.

The hack was revealed in a cleaning enthusiasts group online after a mum asked for help when everything she’d tried to remove the pan’s burn failed.

Quickly, a barrage of users offered their advice, with one suggesting filling the pan with boiling water and a dishwasher tablet before leaving it to soak overnight.

“Put a dishwashing tablet in the bottom and cover with boiling hot water,” the savvy mum wrote, adding, “it requires zero scrubbing”.
