The sitcom is based on the life story of Ms. Pat, as told in her memoir “Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat,” as she transforms from a convicted felon and drug dealer from Atlanta into a suburban mother. Series regulars Williams, J. Bernard Calloway, Tami Roman, Vince Swann, Briyana Guadalupe, Theodore John Barnes and Brittany Inge are set to return for Season 5.

Williams previously signed a multi-year overall deal with BET in 2022. Her first project under the deal was the unscripted courtroom series “Ms. Pat Settles It,” which aired its second season on BET in July.
Created by Williams and Jordan E. Cooper, “The Ms. Pat Show” centers a modern Black American family, tackling contemporary social and cultural issues such as abortion, pronouns, school shootings, racism and drug addiction.
Executive producers include Williams, Cooper, Patrick Walsh, Lee Daniels, Brian Grazer, Deb Evans, Jon Radler, Natalie Berkus and Mary Lou Belli, who is also a director on the series. “The Ms. Pat Show” is produced by Imagine Television, DaeLight Media and Lee Daniels Entertainment.
Williams is represented by Independent Artist Group, Tigerman Management and Garrett Legal.
