Booking accommodation can sometimes be the most stressful part of planning and budgeting a trip.

And with both hotels and Airbnbs to choose from, the options might seem endless. With accommodation being one of the biggest costs, many travellers turn to the homestay site to save money.

But it might not always turn out to be cheaper.

The team at Globehunters have dived into Airbnb data to discover just where the cheapest and most expensive places are to book.

It may come as little surprise that cities in the US take up the top five spots for the most expensive places. Where as places like Russia and cities in Eastern Europe are less popular with tourists and come in much cheaper.
