“Mormon Wives” Star Jessi Ngatikaura Says Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen Are 'Struggling' Amid Breakup Rumors
Jessi Ngatikaura opened up about Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen's relationship status on the 'Scheananigans' podcast with Scheana Shay
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jessi Ngatikaura is giving more insight on fellow MomTok member Taylor Frankie Paul's relationship with Dakota Mortensen as the couple faces breakup rumors.
In an episode of the Scheananigans podcast with Scheana Shay posted Sept. 27, Jessi confirmed that she and her husband Jordan Ngatikaura have both spoken to Taylor about her relationship with Dakota, revealing that they are "struggling a little bit right now" but that she "wishes them the best."
"I think they're both amazing people," Jessi continued. "I just think that maybe there's so much trauma between both of them with their past and their relationship that they need a little time to breathe."
Jessi also noted that the show "put a magnifying glass on their relationship," and revealing that she didn't "really know where they're at in this moment."
Despite Taylor and Dakota's reported struggles, Jessi said that she is "giving her my love and support right now" and that the rest of MomTok has "rallied around her" during this time.
Taylor and Dakota's reps did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives focused on the lives and drama amongst MomTok after Taylor opened up about the "soft swinging" scandal that took place within the group and led to the end of her first marriage to Tate Paul in 2022.
After her marriage ended, Taylor began dating Dakota, which is documented on the Hulu series. At one point in the season, Taylor opened up to her mom about being afraid of things going wrong with Dakota, teasing that she's "not all in" with him.
"I'm so scared to just get hurt, I guess. I've done everything to push him. I think it's more of a test, like, are you going to stay here with me through thick and thin," she told her mom.
While things seemed shaky between the couple at the end of the season, Taylor and Dakota have both committed to co-parenting their son Ever True, who was born in March 2024.
Breakup rumors began swirling in September after Taylor posted that she was entering a "new chapter" in her life on her Instagram Story. She also raised eyebrows as she posted a TikTok on Sept. 21 that said she was "slowly morphing into 2022 me," captioned it, "plz no. We don’t want her back."

Fellow Momtok members Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews shared their support for Taylor in the comments, writing, "this new chapter will be better than ever! Lean on us, we got you baby🩷🫶🏼," adding that they were "always here for" her.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is now streaming on Hulu.
