A family got the holiday snap of a lifetime after a cheeky monkey flipped the bird in what could be the world’s greatest photobomb.

The Hicks family were holidaying in Bali, when they decided to visit Ubud Monkey Forest.

The family of five were excited about getting up close to the monkeys, but they never expected things to get quite so personal.

When mum Judy decided to rally the troops for a sweet family shot, one curious monkey clearly felt a bit left out, and decided to retaliate.

The family, who hail from the Sunshine Coast, didn’t notice anything untoward while the guide snapped the shot, but after they flicked through the photos they got the shock of their lives.

“As I was flicking through the photos afterwards, I noticed that in one of them the monkey was actually giving us the finger,” the mum-of-three said.

“I showed my husband and we both started laughing. We thought it was hilarious.”

The peeved primate had sneakily photobombed the family snap, sticking up the middle finger at the perfect moment, but Judy said she wasn’t entirely surprised.

“The monkey definitely had a cheeky persona going on,” she admitted.

The priceless snap was captured during the family holiday in December 2018 and has been shared online for the first time this week.

Judy said that the unforgettable image was one of the highlights of their entire trip – and added that it would not be long before she and her family returned to Bali.

“I posted the photo to my Facebook and Instagram and all my family and friends thought it was hilarious,” the 37-year-old said.

“The experience was one of the highlights of our trip, and the photo itself is something we can look back on to remember forever.”
