A Taiwanese Model drowned during an underwater photo shoot.
Olivia Ku from Taipei allegedly suffered an asthma attack in Taiwan’s southern waters near Hengchun Township.
The 25-year-old was a popular model and amateur diver with at least three years of experience.
According to Central European News (CEN), it was reported that the photographer asked Ku to take off her breathing mask for a photo, making Ku hold her breath underwater.
While the exact cause of her death has not been confirmed, there have been suspicions of human error.
Veteran divers told CEN, Ku’s modelling agency should have had professional divers on set during the shoot.
CEN said Ku had volunteered in the exact waters before, helping to pick up rubbish from the ocean floor.
The mother to a four-year-old daughter and wife to Chiu died too young.
The late Ku’s husband took to Facebook to express his grief, “Your life was cut too short at the age of 25, but you will always be in the hearts of our big family,” he said.
