MKR's Ibby and Romel admit to cheating during competition

The competition on My Kitchen Rules is flaring up big time, with some of the contestants adopting sneaky tactics to keep ahead in the game.

Tonight entertaining duo Ibby and Romel chose to score very strategically at the end of Anne & Jennifer’s and Mick & Jodie-Anne’s dramatic cook-off, by giving the teams either an extremely low score or a very high one.

What’s more, they’ve unapologetically admitted that they were cheating by doing this, because ultimately their own spot in the competition was their biggest priority.

“Cheating? Yeah, look, ultimately, is is,” Romel told TV Week.

“It is cheating. But it happens,” he continued, adding, “Ibby and I looked at each other and thought, ‘We need to change our tactics’.”

On the night, the competitive pair made no secret that they had to do what it takes to keep themselves safe.

“If we don’t really consider our scoring today, we’re out one by one,” Romel said in a piece-to-camera.

Ultimately, they each gave Anne & Jennifer a score of 1 out of 10, while giving Mick and Jodie-Anne top marks of 10.

This sent Anne and Jennifer packing, and Ibby and Romel safe. But will their game plan be caught out by the others?
