MKR 2024 winners announced after nail-biting finale: 'Completely changed our lives'
Caz and Fergus and Simone and Viviana went head to head in Tuesday night’s epic grand final.
Following two months of exceptional home cooking, tense drama and shocking eliminations, the winners of My Kitchen Rules 2024 have finally been announced. Tuesday night’s finale saw mother-and-son duo Caz and Fergus go up against Modern Italians Simone and Viviana for the $100,000 grand prize and title of this year’s champions.
Both teams were tasked with preparing four courses for judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge and special guest Julie Goodwin. The trio were amazed by the cooking skills of the two teams in the grand finale, admitting that it was going to be a very tough call. Colin even confessed at one point that he had one of the teams leading in his mind by just one point.
Caz and Fergus ended up scoring 25 points out of 30 for their menu, which included lemongrass prawns, Szechuan beef short ribs, and tamarind date cake. However, Simone and Viviana ultimately took out the win when they received 27 for their elevated menu, which included lobster tacos, lamb rump with pecorino zabaione, and Paris-Brest with hazelnut praline cream.

Viviana added: “I walked into this challenge with a best friend and came out of it with a brother. I could not be happier.”
Simone and Viviana's post-show plans
Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle ahead of the finale, Simone and Viviana revealed they’d love to host their own cooking show after MKR.
“That would be something we would consider because when we cook, if there is no pressure behind us, we can be very funny and we can play around and we can create very good dishes,” he detailed. “So that would be something we would really consider, and hopefully we will be given the chance to do it.”

Viviana added that her ideal show with Simone would be one where they get to travel around the world together.
“I would love to do something that involves travelling, like Simone and I going around, trying different foods and learning from other cultures,” she said. “We show our culture to them, and they show us theirs. I would love something like that.”
