The 73rd Miss Universe competition held a preliminary round of 30 contestants on Nov. 14 before airing the top 12 finalists on Saturday. During the preliminary round, the contestants paid homage to the cultural heritage and creativity of their homelands with the 2024 Miss Universe National Costumes show, which took place ahead of the swimsuit section.
For the swimsuit section of the competition, contestants opted for modern takes on one-pieces and two-pieces in cool blue and purple tones. They paired their swimsuits with a gold cape and metallic platform sandals, with many contestants opting to accessorize with statement earrings and some styling their looks with necklaces and bracelets. The delegates had the opportunity to make a selection from six silhouettes and colors from the official Miss Universe Organization brand. Last year, the organization entered into licensing for merchandizing across several categories, including beauty.
Below, take a look at the swimwear looks from the Miss Universe 2024 top five contestants.
