Miranda Lambert Means Business in Suit With Turquoise Details and Peekaboo Bra Layering for MTV VMAs 2024 Red Carpet

Miranda Lambert suited up for the 2024 MTV VMAs in New York City on Wednesday, wearing a look that merged power suiting with country sensibility. The country singer and three-time Grammy Award winner will present at the music industry award show.

For the evening, Lambert opted for sartorial suiting with details and elements evocative of country style. The “Hell on Heels” singer wore a coordinated black suit with a single-breasted blazer and complementary tailored trousers.

The lapels of Lambert’s blazer featured an intricate paisley design in black and white, with turquoise rhinestones added to the fabric. Lambert continued the turquoise motif with her necklace and rings courtesy of Lagos and even on her nails. Her look was curated by stylist Tiffany Gifford.

Along with her suited attire, Lambert also embraced one of the hottest trends of the 2024 red carpet. The singer opted for the peekaboo bra trend, wearing a bra that featured all-over turquoise stone embellishments.

Lambert is in good company when it comes to the celebrities and A-list stars who’ve opted for the peekaboo bra trend, notably popularized by Madonna in the 1980s and 1990s. Natalie Portman, Kristen Stewart and Sydney Sweeney are just a few of the celebrities who’ve styled the trend in 2024.

Prior to the 2024 MTV VMAs, Lambert wore another iteration of her black and turquoise embellished look. While attending the 2024 ACM Awards last May, Lambert wore a plunging black dress with a thigh-high slit, accentuated with turquoise details, including jewelry and a belt.

The MTV VMAs recognize the year’s best music videos, artists and songs. Megan Thee Stallion makes her hosting debut during the 2024 ceremony, held at the UBS Stadium in Elmont, New York on Sept. 11. Katy Perry will receive the honorary Video Vanguard Award, while performers include Sabrina Carpenter, Lenny Kravitz, Eminem and Karol G.
