Coronavirus: Millionaire Hot Seat shut down over outbreak

Production of Channel Nine’s Millionaire Hotseat has been suspended due to the Masked Singer outbreak.

The show hosted by Eddie McGuire is filmed at the same studios in Docklands, Melbourne as The Masked Singer, which on Saturday revealed crew members had tested postive to COVID-19.

The Victorian government made the call to shut down production of anything that wasn't already in production by midnight on August 6 won't be able to continue filming, the Herald Sun reports.

“That includes things that were on hiatus,” a Channel Nine spokesperson told the publication, after new episodes of the show were expected to start filming again today.

“Up until an hour ago we were still hoping to proceed.”

On Saturday it was revealed seven dancers from The Masked Singer had tested positive for coronavirus.
