The couple started dating in 2021 after meeting on Instagram, announcing their engagement earlier this year.
Now, in an interview with The Times, Brown explained that Bongiovi actually proposed to her using a ring belonging to her own mother.
"I've always loved that ring, it’s always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake," Brown explained. "They were in cahoots about the whole proposal. I love that I can always keep a piece of my mum with me."
Given that detail, it's no surprise that Brown's folks are "super happy" about the engagement.
She said: "My parents adore him. [Jake and I] both come from parents that have stayed together for a really long time. My parents were young when they got together, so I always had amazing role models for relationships.
"His family are wonderful people who welcomed me with open arms. I'm really grateful to be a part of their world."
She says that the she hasn't sorted out a date or a dress yet, although multiple fashion designers are clamouring to work with her. The actress admits that the couple are having "conversations" about how they want to do their surnames, but "definitely [doesn't] think [Millie Bobby Brownovi is] it".
Speaking about their relationship more generally, Millie said that their connection was instant, stating: "As soon as we spoke I knew he was going to be a huge part of my life. I ran to my mum and said, 'I really, really like him!' After we met we knew we never wanted to leave each other's side."
