After Her Recent Photos Sparked Criticism Over Her Appearance, Millie Bobby Brown Succinctly Responded
Millie Bobby Brown gave a short but to-the-point response to people criticizing her appearance online.
In recent weeks, the actor has been sporting blonde hair at a number of public appearances, from the premiere of her movie The Electric State to the SAG Awards.
The internet has subsequently been full of people commenting that the 21-year-old looks significantly older than her age, or like a different person entirely.
British Vogue subsequently published an opinion piece by beauty editor Morgan Fargo called "No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks." In it, she wrote, "This obsession with women and their age is a form of misogyny. Beyond that, it’s boring. Millie Bobby Brown is an award-winning actor with several blockbuster roles under her belt. We should be applauding the achievements and precocious talent of this still extremely young star (and be mindful of the fact she was a child when she entered the spotlight), not cruelly dissecting her appearance."
Shortly after the op-ed was published, Millie shared it to her Instagram story along with the caption, "thank you."
Her latest Instagram post also features a sticker which reads, "Please stop talking."
Similarly, earlier this year, while facing similar comments, Millie posted on her Instagram story, "Women grow!! Not sorry about it :)."
