THE TVLINE BOTTOM LINE: Say what you will about Nexstar’s strategy, its pivot to sports offerings appears to have paid off, with NASCAR and wrestling delivering two of its largest audiences. The well-watched (everything’s relative, people!) Superman & Lois will absolutely be missed. Of the netlet’s acquired series and co-pros, Sullivan’s Crossing has proven to be very CW-friendly, and was recently picked up for Season 3. Now that Whose Line‘s full inventory has been exhausted (the improv staple’s future is very unclear), that’s one more scheduling hole to be filled. As such, the new seasons of All American (which last averaged 960,000 viewers), Wild Cards (to be paired on Wednesdays with Leighton Meester’s Good Cop/Bad Cop) and Penn & Teller: Fool Us, arriving in late-January/February, surely will be welcome.

Which of The CW’s ranking most surprises or pleases you?
