Michelle Pfeiffer just debuted a new long layered jellyfish haircut
While January may be drawing to an end (praise be), our roster of hair inspiration just keeps on growing. And proving 2024 to be long, layered and full of life is Michelle Pfeiffer's brand new jellyfish-like haircut. Bear with me here, folks.
Over the weekend, Michelle stepped out at the 2024 Environmental Media Association Awards Gala and ofc, with it being a coveted red carpet event 'n' all (Alexa, play 'Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous') the actor went above and beyond in the beauty department with a fresh new trim.
Said trim consists of subtle, feathered layers that have been exaggerated at chin length to frame her face and it's a look I'm sure we'll all not only be able to get behind but recognise, too.
I mean, it screams 'The Rachel' vibes, aka it's reminiscent of Rachel Gellar's iconic hairstyle from the great 90s Friends heyday.
Chic, sleek yet still voluminous and a little rough around the edges. *Chef's kiss*
Now, you may be wondering why we've labelled Michelle's 'do a 'jellyfish' cut – after all, by the looks of things, we're sans-sea creatures. Well, the style in question is a hybrid one that brings the best of two looks together. Think: a combination of long mullet layers with – as previously mentioned – a bowl cut technique to frame the face. Oh, and as I'm sure you can assume, it takes name from its resemblance to the shape of a jellyfish. The contrasting lines and chic finish of Michelle's new look is a perfect example of how to wear bi-level layers.
So, now you know what to ask your stylist for at your next salon appointment! 'One jellyfish, please'...
