Yahoo Lifestyle Michael Bolton, 72, Seen in Rare Photo With Family Amid Health Battle
Fans were happy to see Michael Bolton enjoying his birthday on Feb. 26, with his family by his side, as he continues his health battle.
The "When a Man Loves a Woman" singer shared the family photo on social media as he turned 72 years old, only a few weeks after he made a sad career announcement canceling a concert scheduled for July.
In the new picture, Bolton sat front and center with his daughters Holly and Taryn at his sides. His grandchildren Amelia, Olivia and River stood behind the trio. A slice of cake was on a plate in front of Bolton, while there was a "Happy Birthday" banner on the wall behind him and balloons on the table. Bolton is also father to a daughter named Isa, and he shares all three children with ex-wife Maureen McGuire.
Bolton wrote alongside the photo, "Spending my birthday filled with love and gratitude. Wishing you all the same, today & everyday!"
Fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes for Bolton, with one writing, "More healthy years to come. Enjoy your special day to the fullest."
"Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy your day with your family. Every day is a blessing," wrote another, as a third said that they were "wishing u speedy recovery and happiness 😊."
Bolton shocked fans at the start of February when he announced that his concert scheduled for the O2 Arena in London, England on July 5 was canceled, writing, "You all know how much I was looking forward to this show but I am continuing to heal from surgery."
The singer was diagnosed with a brain tumor in late 2023 and quickly underwent surgery, from which he is still recovering. In October 2024, he canceled other upcoming concerts and shared a health update, telling fans, "I’m just not quite 100% yet and I only want to give you my very best, so please bear with me as I continue my road to recovery."
