Drinking fruit juice

Taking gloriously natural, fresh fruit and squeezing out all the goodness and nutrients and discarding all the skin and useless pulp: what could be better for you?

Unfortunately, all that useless pulp is where the fibre in fruit is kept, and without it you are basically drinking a big glass of sugar water.

Your move: if you want the juice, eat the fruit. People consume 20 per cent less kilojoules when they switch from juice to whole fruit, according to a study in the Journal of Obesity.
