During the winter months, maybe a flat midsection is good enough. But when it comes time to hit the beach again, you want a body that looks more like sculpted marble than a blank slate. This workout, based on a system developed for track-and-field athletes by Russian sports scientists, uses a combination of heavy lifting and intense “metabolic accelerators
Alternate between workouts A and B three days a week. When two exercises have the same number (3A and 3B, for example), do one set of the A exercise and rest for the prescribed time. Then do one set of the B exercise and rest again. Repeat until you’ve completed all sets of each exercise, then move on to the next exercise. End each workout with the accelerator, then wring out your shirt and go home.
