Medicine Man – Dr Steve Trumble

It’s often said that kidney stones are the worst pain known to man (which is probably fair enough, given that we can’t experience childbirth). People with recurrent stones have tried limiting certain acids in their diet (typically by reducing animal protein) and drinking loads of water to keep their system flushed. There’s some evidence that efforts to change your urine’s pH can help, depending on the sort of stones (calcium oxalate, uric, etc) you’ve had. It’s worth asking your doctor.
