Just when you thought Meghan Markle’s family situation couldn’t get any messier, the Duchess of Sussex has no doubt been left cringing by reports a member of her family has been arrested on an assault charge.
Darlene Blout, who is set to marry Meghan’s half-brother Thomas Markle Jnr, was arrested by police in Grants Pass, Oregon after a “domestic violence call” at her house.t
“Last night there was a domestic violence call at the home of Thomas Markle [Jr] and Darlene Blount,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“Darlene was arrested on assault charges.”
It’s not the first time Darlene and Thomas, 51, have had a violent bust-up.
In January 2016, Thomas was arrested following an incident with Darlene, where he reportedly held a gun to her head during a drunken row.
He was taken into custody, and charged with menacing, pointing a firearm at another person and unlawful use of a weapon.
The couple were also involved in another altercation when police were called to their home on New Year’s Eve. Despite Darlene’s claims her fiancé was being “really f***ing weird” and trying to beat himself up, police arrested the 36-year-old and held her for two nights before releasing her without charge.
Meghan’s latest family drama comes following her dad Thomas Markle continually speaking out to the press on the way in which he’s been cut off from his daughter.
Claiming Meghan is ‘terrified’ in a controversial interview last week, the Duchess of Sussex is reportedly frustrated that she can’t address the comments herself.
“She doesn’t have her own publicist, she can’t make any comments on Twitter and she can’t reach out to him to tell him to stop speaking to the press,” the source told Us Weekly.
“Her father’s comments have an effect on everything.”
