After the new promo of Bachelor In Paradise was released earlier today, one of the big talking points has been Alex Nation and Brooke Blurton being on the verge of locking lips.

Former Bachelor In Paradise star Megan Marx has weighed in on the dramatic moment, after she accused the show of ‘queerbaiting’ a promo last year that showed her kissing Thomas Perras, but instead suggested to fans it was female co-star, Elora Murger.

“I would say it’s not the same thing again,” Megan tells Yahoo Lifestyle about Alex and Brooke’s intimate moment.

“I would say that Warner Bros has learnt from their past experiences with it. It is different.

“It becomes queerbaiting when it’s not real. They’re trying to bait an audience and that thing didn’t necessarily happen,” she explains.

“We all know that Alex likes girls and that Brooke likes girls, whereas for my thing it was completely different. They made it look like I was kissing someone that I wasn’t.”

After appearing on Bachelor In Paradise last year, Megan continued her romance with Jake Ellis till just recently when their breakup was confirmed.

Since then, she’s been busy promoting her new book, Episode Eight, a psychological thriller based around a reality TV show, drawing experiences from her time on The Bachelor and Bachelor In Paradise.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a really long time,” says Megan.

“I’ve always wanted to write a book but I needed something to write about. You need to get older and have some life experience, maybe.

“After going on reality TV, my dad had kind of said, ‘You should get your experiences down’,” she explains.

Writing from the perspective of two characters, one male and one female, Megan says the book highlights a lot of the not so obvious realities about reality TV.

“A lot of my experiences from there are more the background stuff that goes on during the show… what it’s like coming off the show, not knowing how to deal with life or feeling like a sellout.”

And as for the next season of Bachelor In Paradise, Megan says, “It’s going to be so good” and she’s ready to hooked.
