When the moment came on Bachelor In Paradise for couples to commit, Megan Marx wasn’t able to do so with island love Jake Ellis.
Showing doubts in her romance with Jake on the penultimate episode of the show on Sunday night, Megan clearly wasn’t able to shake them.
As the pair were discussing their future outside of Paradise it was clear Jake’s reassurance he would be faithful to Megan just wasn’t enough.
“I think Jake really wanted tohear from me that I wanted to commitand really give it a good, hard go,” the 29-year-old said in a piece to camera. “I just don’t…I don’t feel like we’re ready.Like, we’re right beforethe commitment ceremonyand we don’t know what we’re doing. That doesn’t inspire confidence in me.”
Megan then broke the heartbreaking news to Jake she didn’t want to go through with the commitment ceremony.
“It’s not the right time,” she said. “I don’t think that we shoulddo the commitment ceremony.I think this is going to bethe best thing.”
Clearly upset and taken aback, Jake wasn’t happy with Megan’s decision to leave.
“My biggest regret is not going tothe commitment ceremony, you know, running scared or feeling likewe need to wait a bit only realise we passed the chanceand that we missed an opportunity,” he told Megan.
Leaving Jake behind, Megan departed Paradise leaving the 31-year-old heartbroken.
