Meet the 62-year-old male model smashing stereotypes
Think the age of 60 is too late for a career change? Or perhaps too old to become a model?
Well, think again.
When Philippe Dumas retired from the film industry, he finally decided to fulfil a lifelong dream and become a model.
With rugged looks and an impeccable sense of fashion, he says strangers have always stopped him on the street to compliment his style.
“I have always liked fashion and it happened many times that people, mostly young people, came to me kindly and told me they really liked my look,” Dumas told TODAY. “Sometimes they asked me if they could take a photo.”
So two years ago Dumas decided to try his luck at modelling … at the tender age of 60.
Tadaaaa!!! Busy busy week coming. #ilovemyjob.

“It wasn’t really easy to find a new job in the advertising business since it’s a very young environment. So, I went to modelling agencies.”
Companies took notice of the late bloomer. Soon, Dumas was booking jobs for couture fashion shows as well as mainstream campaigns. He stays active through ballet dancing and keeps up-to-date with what’s happening in the world.
“Cherish your memories. But look at the future,” Dumas advises. “Then you will be happy and wonʼt feel put aside.”
What do you think about Dumas’s ageless genes!?
