Meet the 58-year-old dubbed the 'Sexiest Santa'

If you are expecting a pot-bellied Santa Claus this Christmas who’s had more than his fair share of mince pies, then prepare to be surprised.

The UK’s sexiest Kris Kringle has been revealed and we have to admit, we wouldn’t mind him turning up on Christmas morning.

Over-50s dating app Lumen’s latest campaign sees 58-year-old model Paul Orchard take on the role of Santa.

The festive editorial is designed to highlight the fact that people over the age of 50 want advertising targeted at them to be fun and attractive.

So it gives us great pleasure to introduce Orchard in a chic twist on Santa’s red suit – braces and all.

“Being Santa has to be one of the most fun parts of my job, and I’m chuffed at how the photographs have turned out,” Orchard said.

“It shows that getting older doesn’t mean you can’t still have fun.”

It’s not like the idea of a sexy Santa is inconceivable.

According to research conducted by mature dating app Lumen, one fifth of the nation fancies the festive icon.

Those aged 50 and over in particular can’t resist the red suit with 26% admitting to having the hots for him.

But why is it that grown-ups hope he really does exist?

According to the study, Father Christmas’s trademark smile, good nature and joyful appearance is what gets the nation going. In fact, 20% of women are drawn in by his world-famous white beard.
