In late September, I came across a video of Martha Stewart applying makeup while rattling off some fun facts about herself. The routine included nine products—all from indie beauty brand Merit—but according to her, it takes less than five minutes. Merit doesn’t usually have sales, but thankfully it’s made an exception to participate in Cyber Monday weekend, during which everything is 20 percent off. I recommend trying (or restocking) Merit’s hero product, the Minimalist Complexion Stick.

The hybrid product is a foundation, concealer, and/or contour stick. It comes in 30 shades (two of which are sold out), has light to medium buildable coverage, and is formulated with hydrating and brightening skin care ingredients.

Besides Stewart, its fanbase includes celebrities like Demi Moore, editors, and thousands of shoppers. The fanfare is so fervent, it’s almost impossible to parse through shoppers’s accolades. A 66-year-old shopper said they “often get compliments on how good [their] skin looks” when they use the Complexion Stick. Another was “completely unprepared for the change it made” in their skin’s appearance, including making their pores “disappear.”

Stewart’s Merit routine also includes the Sarah Jessica Parker-used Great Skin Glow Serum. It has brightening, soothing, hydrating, and pore-reducing benefits thanks to niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and caffeine. It’s a great companion to the complexion stick given that many shoppers say it doubles as the perfect primer, too.

A third reason Stewart’s skin looks so dewy in the video is the brand’s Day Glow Highlighter Balm. It comes in four shades (Stewart used the champagne-hued Cava) and looks like liquid light on the face.

Shop the rest of Martha Stewart’s Merit routine below and, again, do this sooner rather than later since products are already selling out during this rare opportunity. The brand’s kits are included in the sitewide sale, if you go that route I recommend the Five Minute Morning or the Full Collection.
