According to Twitter 2015 was well and truly the year of One Direction - at least according to the Twitterverse that is.
The social networking site has released the top 10 tweets of 2015 and unsurprisingly, the One Direction lads dominated, with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne's tweets taking out the top three spots.
All the love as always. H

However their fellow bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan weren't left out, taking up the 5th and 8th spots.
Coming in fourth place behind the 1Ders was none other than the POTUS himself, Barack Obama with his tweet in support of legalising gay marriage.
Today is a big step in our march toward equality. Gay and lesbian couples now have the right to marry, just like anyone else. #LoveWins

Sixth place went to King Salman, tweeting a message of prayer and support after he was crowned King of Saudi Arabia.
Seventh place went to Kanye West, who tweeted an inspirational message to his fans, "Please: Do everything you possibly can in one lifetime."
Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy came in ninth place with a poignant last tweet before he passed away.
A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP

Rounding out the top ten was of course, Caitlyn Jenner, who took to Twitter to introduce herself to the world.
I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.
