Before the days of online dating, tinder, and texting, if you didn't want to break up with someone in person, a hand-written letter was your go-to.
A new excerpt from a series of personal letters written by former First Lady Jackie Kennedy has revealed how she dumped an ex-boyfriend - and it's epic.
Luxury auction house Christies acquired the handwritten letters in 2001 - which later sold for an incredible $US134,000.

Among them was the breakup letter to end all breakup letters, written by a 17-year-old Jackie to her high school boyfriend, a Harvard University student.
I’ve always thought of being in love as willing to do anything for the other person — starve to buy them bread and not mind living in Siberia with them — and I’ve always thought that every minute away from them would be hell — so looking at it that [way] I guess I’m not in love with you.
I do love you though — and can love you without kissing you every time I see you and I hope you understand that.
So. Good.
It's no wonder this lady went on to do great things.
