Hillary Clinton's Epic Response To Being Told She Won't Win By Playing The #GenderCard

During a Facebook Q&A this week Hillary Clinton was asked to respond to Reblican Senator Mitch McConnell's comments that the "gender card" would not be enough to secure the election for her.

“I don’t think arguing, ‘Vote for me because I’m a woman’ is enough,” McConnell said, before adding, “You may recall my election last year,” (where he defeated Alison Lundergan Grimes). "The gender card alone is not enough."

In the Facebook chat, Clinton responded to his comments by agreeing that a gender card is being played.

"There is a gender card being played in this campaign," she wrote.

"It's played every time Republicans vote against giving women equal pay, deny families access to affordable child care or family leave, refuse to let women make decisions about their health or have access to free contraception. These aren't just women's issues, they are economic issues that drive growth and affect all Americans. Anyone who doesn't get that doesn't understand what our lives are like."

The Democratic front-runner, who famously said "human rights are women's rights, and women's rights are human rights," his now promoting the #gendercard hashtag to continue the discussion.

Well played, Hilary, well played.
