Yahoo Lifestyle Tinder Hookups Skyrocket At Coachella

Must-see performances by Drake, Jack White and AC/DC weren’t the only hot things going on during the first few days of Coachella, it seems. A whole bunch of people were busy swiping right, with news that there was a 300 per cent surge in Tinder usage in the Palm Springs and Indio areas, where the festival is held, compared to the previous weekend.
According the LA-based tech company, 49 per cent of Tinder users at the event fell in in the 25-34-year-old demographic. The surprising news? 1 per cent of the Coachella crowd swiping right were over the age of 55. David Hasselhoff, is that you?
Since launching in 2013, the app has notched up more than 1.6 billion swipes and 26 million matches.
