A school in Chennai, India, has celebrated Malala Yousafzai’s Nobel Peace Prize by christening October 14 ‘Malala Day’. As part of their celebrations, 1000 students from the school formed a human chain, creating an image of a girl and the words ‘Malala Day’.

An image of the celebration, which was posted to Twitter has quickly gone viral.

Seventeen-year-old Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai is the youngest ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. The teenager began campaigning for girls’ education when she was just 11.
